Resilience
This beautiful video was developed by a group of National Park Service staff and
interns to explore the trauma, resilience, and beauty of the African American
experience in our country. The story of black history in America may have been
lost and forgotten at times, but this film uses beautiful photography and the
words of Maya Angelou's poem "Still I Rise" to illustrate the beauty and courage
of those who have withstood discrimination and hate.
