Daily Inspirational Quote November 20 2014
“The task we must set for ourselves is not to feel secure, but to be able to tolerate insecurity.”
– Erich Fromm
I recently received an email from a young man who had been admiring a young woman who worked at the mall with him. He felt strongly drawn to her and was thinking about approaching her and introducing himself, but before he did, he wanted to know how he could be certain that she was his soul mate. I can only presume that if I had told him that she wasn’t, he would never even say hello. Happiness is not a science, it’s an art; love is not a mathematical equation, it’s an organic process like the blossoming of a flower. Only those of us who have the courage to risk opening our hearts will experience how beautiful life and love can be.
