Daily Inspirational Message for April 19, 2014
“Take full account of what excellences which you possess, and in gratitude,
remember how you would hanker after them if you had them not.”
- Marcus Aurelius Antonius
I know many people who hate to exercise. They either avoid it whenever they can, or they force themselves to suffer through it in misery. If we suddenly lost our health, if we were injured or ill and could no longer walk or run or do sit-ups, we would long to have our abilities back, and when we got them, we’d delight in being able to push ourselves physically again. Exercising with joy is a great way to affirm and underscore our well-being. Even those of us who have physical limitations could always have less mobility and vitality. Don’t wait until you’ve lost it to affirm your health; treat your body with wisdom and respect, and take joy in all that you’re able to do.
