Daily Inspirational Quote July 12 2014
“You don’t have to sit on top of a mountain
to discover what’s right for you.
You always know in your heart what you need to do.
But you do have to ask yourself if you’re willing to make choices.
Put yourself in a position where you’re making choices about your life,
rather than letting other people make those choices for you.
That’s what balance is all about.”
- Liz Dolan
I have a friend who has said for years that she wants to find a nice man, fall in love and get married. As soon as a fine fellow comes along, however, she can’t seem to find room in her busy schedule for him. She actually tells her suitors that she can see them at most once every two weeks or so. That’s twice a month — 24 times a year! While she doesn’t understand why a serious relationship is eluding her, it’s clear to me that she’s still single by choice, even though that choice may be subconscious. We all do this in different ways: We say we want to get in shape or increase our income or remodel the house, but we don’t make choices that make those goals priorities. If you’ve been having the same dream for a long time and want to start really moving toward it, ask yourself what you’re willing to give up to have what you want.
