Seven Guaranteed Practical Steps to Fully Using Your Intuition In 40 Days
by Shoshanna French
These seven steps, when practiced daily, will have you connecting to your intuition easily!
Step 1: Pay attention to your first impressions.
With intuition, first impressions are important. When you move to trying to figure things or people out, you move from intuition to logic. Once you move to logic, you can lose the message your intuition was trying to share.
Step 2: Keep a daily journal.
Keep a little spiral notebook in your pocket or purse. Each time you have an intuitive hit or a strong impression about something or someone, write it down. Over time, you will see that your intuition is communicating to you.
Step 3: Engage with the world like a detective.
Ask yourself questions and practice listening for answers. Your intuition will respond.
- Does this agitation belong to me?
- What should I be paying attention to?
- How does this feel to me?
- I wonder which waiter will come to our table?
- Which elevator will open first?
Step 4: Practice using your intuition with others.
Go to Meetup.com. Find groups through your local Unity, Unitarian Universalist, Science of Mind, or other churches. If you live in a small city, you can connect with other like-minded folks on Facebook all over the world, or go online to find a class to help you.
Step 5: Practice noticing what you notice.
Engage with your five physical senses. Get present to your surroundings as well as your body.
- What do you see? See all the shades of green in the park.
- What do you feel? How does the AC feel against your skin? Are your muscles sore? Are you hungry or thirsty?
- What do you hear? It may be birds singing, or a plane overhead.
- What do you taste? Use this when you are eating or when you are needing to get present in a moment.
- What do you smell? Our sense of smell is powerfully connected to our memory.
Step 6: Take good care of yourself.
Once you have noticed what your body is saying, just take care of it (you)! Thirsty? Drink some water. Hungry? Eat. Tired? Sleep. If you feel stressed, unplug. To be able to notice the signals from your intuition, you have to take the time you need to recharge. For some people this will be exercise, time away, or doing a hobby. Whatever it is for you, I recommend making your well-being a priority.
Step 7: Meditate.
When you read
meditatedid you have images of sitting still, uncomfortably chanting for hours and hours? Well, let me reassure you that meditation isn't one single kind of thing. There are a variety of ways to meditate. The idea is to find the kind of meditation that works for you. You can also try being in silence for 15 minutes. You can do a movement meditation like Hatha Yoga or even running. Go be in nature.
I recorded a meditation to get you started. Go here to download it for free: howtobeintuitive.com.
With daily practice, you will notice growth in your ability to trust yourself, read others and situations very clearly, and move forward in life with ease.
Blessings!
