Girls Hang Sweaters Around Florida Lamp Posts For Homeless to Find

Some of Florida’s homeless are going to be toasty this week following a cold spell in the state, thanks to a group of young girls who tied warm clothing around lamp posts for the less fortunate to find.

Inspired by a story posted to Good News Network back in November that featured Canadian children leaving jackets around Halifax, kids from the Annunciation Catholic Church collected 100 donated sweaters and coats and left them on lamp posts in downtown Apopka, Florida.

The young volunteers noticed more than one homeless person gratefully claiming the clothing, which had tags attached that said: “I am not lost. If you are stuck out in the cold, please take me to stay warm.”
