“Half the costs of illness are wasted
on conditions that could be prevented.”
- Dr. Joseph Pizzorno

As soon as we’re injured, the body knows exactly what to do to begin the healing process. It knows how to digest whatever we eat, how to fight off germs, how to build new muscles and cells. It’s involved in innumerable processes at any given moment, most of which we’re never aware of. Unfortunately, much in modern life can cripple the body’s ability to maintain this careful equilibrium. Given our endless array of processed convenience foods, our relatively sedentary lifestyles and the general pollution of our environment, we now have to make conscious choices that support our bodies’ efforts to maintain health. This is not as complicated as it is made out to be; in fact, the key is simplicity. Eat real plant foods like raw fruits and vegetables; drink fresh, clean water; walk  where you want to go; sleep when you’re tired.
Practice gratitude for the magic your body works daily by giving it the simple building blocks of well-being.
